ABOUT ME
Hello everyone, my name is Daniel Tong, and this is my introduction:
I am a recent graduate from the Academy of Art University, with an MFA in Motion Picture & Television. Prior to this, I earned my BFA in Film & Digital Media at the University of California in Santa Cruz. After graduation I spent a year working as a videographer, while continuing to study and make films before attending the Academy.
My area of expertise is in post-production, particularly in Film Editing, as well as working with motion graphics and color correction. I have also served on set as a Digital Imaging Technician or “data wrangler” for several productions.
Several programs that I am familiar with include:
+ FInal Cut Pro
+ Adobe After Effects
+ Apple Color
+ Avid Xpress / Media Composer
I’ve also worked on a wide range of film genres:
+ Drama
+ Comedy
+ Horror
+ Documentary
+ Commercials & Trailers
Four films that I’ve edited made it into our school’s Epidemic Film Festival in 2011, as well another in the short film lineup at the 29th San Francisco Asian American International Film Festival.
I love to be challenged, and I’m always eager for next project!
